Henry Brant’s “Orbits,” scored for eighty trombones, organ, and soprano, fills the rotunda of the Guggenheim Museum. Neely Bruce, who conducted the performance, said that he actually had eighty-five trombones on hand, with a few players doubling up on the more taxing parts.
